What to wear now: Pleated skirt

The pleated skirt used to be our school time nightmare. It used to be that preppy skirt we had to wear in every formal occasion.
This winter the plated skirt makes a huge comeback in the most stylish and sexy way ever.
We saw it on Gucci, Valentino, Celine, Guy Laroche and many more catwalks.
It's also a trend that will surely continue for the upcoming spring and summer.
So try to find one with neutreal colors, in order to be all season wearable.
Get more credits by choosing a metalic pleated skirt. Maybe the most impressive piece of this winter.

The bandana scarf comeback

Hello dear friends! How are you?
Today i'm going to take you back to highschool. Do you remember those classic black n white/red white scarves we used to hang on our polo backpacks?
If you were born between 80's and 90's, then you surely have one of them, somewhere in your closet.
So this lovely scarf that was hanging on my backpack at highschool, then became a stylish bandana for the messy hair days at 00's, and now it's back again to keep my neck warm and give a 90's twist to my outfits.
Here are some great ways to wear it, as seen at the fashion week streets.

Chunky wool

On cold days like these, all we need is a cup of hot tea and a blanket.
Sometimes i wish i could leave home with a blanket on my shoulders, in order to feel warm and comfy all the time.
If you feel that too, the chunky wool trend is here for us!

10 autumn must haves

1. Culotte: it's the new midi skirt. It looks great with crop tops, high sandals, or even with biker jackets to make it less preppy.
Culotte is a really impressing piece, but it's only appropriate to skinny legs.

What to wear now: Gypsy florals

Hello dear friends! How are you?
Ιt's that time of the year again, where you're still stuck with your summer clothes, but the weather is not that warm.
So if you're feeling like i am, that you've missed your winter clothes but you still need a little color in your life, floral dresses are here for you.

Marble in wardrobe

Well to be honest, i never thought marble could look so pretty, since i saw that Balenciaga marble collection. It was love at first sight.
So minimalist, stylish and a wonderful camvas for awesome combinations.
A trend straight through from Sweden which came to stay.

Cactus trend alert

Cactus for me is the beggining of summertime.
Every spring i redecorate the whole home trying to make it look more summery, so cactus have always been my good friends who give an exotic green essense and the only plants that i can keep alive.
This summer, cactus are not going to stay just in my living room, but also in my wardrobe, as it's pretty obvious that cactus is a huge summer trend.
Here is an inspiring collage i made for you with some of my favorite cactus pieces.
So if your vacations are too late, keep calm, buy cactus and feel the summer vibes around you.

Tata Naka s/s 2015

Tata Naka is designed by Georgian born identical twins Tamara and Natasha Surguladze.
They arrived in London in 1996 to study design at Central St. Martin's.
In 2000 Barneys NYC dedicated a wall to their awe-inspiring graduation collection.
Most of us maybe know Tata Naka from the statement pieces that Carrie Bradshaw used to wear while Sex and the city, such as the wonderful dress on her book's cover.
I personally became a huge fan of them since their a/w 2015 collection. It was love at first sight. A wonderful folclore-boho collection. So now here i am to show you the more minimal, but still awesome new s/s '15 collection.
What we love on this collection, is the clean lines, the modern architecture, the paterns, the appliques, the safe color combos and all that creativity which makes every little piece so unique.

Gingham trend alert

Gingham is a huge summer trend, especially in light blue.
We saw it on Dianne Von Furstenberg, Karen Walker, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and many more.
I love it cause that print reminds me of old decades and happy picnics. It's comfy chic and a great camvas to play with prints and textures.
 How to wear it:
-Like crop tops/shorts
-Like a hair bow tie scarf for a pin up look
-Mixing it with white lace
 Avoid wearing it:
-like a dress. It's somehow boring.
-like a shirt. Just can't see more plaid shirts
-with white heels. Unless if you're going on a vaptism.

What are you going to choose for your spring-summer outfits???

Take your style vitamins!

When i see something orange, fruits and vitamins come to my mind.
Lately i see many orange bags and even if orange had never been favorite color for me, i've changed my mind, since i discovered that trend.

The orange bag, believe it or not, is the new tote-safe bag. Here are some reasons why:
-An orange bag gives a color splash in a solid color outfit.
-The orange bag is all weather.
- Are you wearing colorful prints? An orange bag is going to take off your outfit (see the photos above).
-Orange goes great with blue, taba, white, pink, purple, beige and many other colors.

How do you feel about that trend? Are you going to follow it?
Wanna get it a step further?
Buy my new ethnic style orange statement necklace, for an absolutelly impressive outfit.
Find it here.
P.s. Don't forget your style vitamins! Put something orange on you!
Love,
Sophie
